About the Course
If you want to become skilled in addressing injuries and musculoskeletal problems using Acupuncture and Bodywork, this is the ideal place to begin.
In this five weekend course, you will learn a Daoyin set, Acupuncture techniques, Bodywork techniques and how to combine all three for best effect. You will also discover how to customise your treatments to fit the individual you are working with, whether they are young and athletic, older and less active, or any combination in between.
We will look at the detailed treament of shoulders, hips, neck, back, limbs and joints, using Acupncture, Bodywork, Cupping, Moxa and other modalities.
Why the Daoyin?
It guides you on how to use your body effectively during treatments to achieve optimal results. Through Daoyin practice, you learn to apply hand bodywork techniques, acupuncture techniques, and grasp the involved subtleties.
Which Acupuncture techniques?
The fundamental techniques include Burning Mountain and Cooling Sky, which correspond to tonification and reduction. Sparrow Pecking is frequently employed for musculoskeletal and injury-related issues. Detailed explanations and practice of each technique, along with their subtle variations, will be provided daily.
Which Bodywork techniques?
Stretches and other highly subtle hand techniques are seldom taught in Chinese Medicine schools, if ever. The methods explored may encompass, but are not limited to, traction, spiraling, warming, cooling, channel traveling, and more.
This course is suitable for all levels of experience and will be especially good if you would like to treat more physical injury and MSK issues. If you've been treating injury and MSK issues but haven't achieved the desired outcomes, this is the ideal opportunity to learn how to improve your results.
The course includes one year's access to Andrew Nugent-Head's "Tangible Acupuncture for Orthopedic Injuries Online Edition", valued at $900. If you enroll in Andrew's online membership program and maintain your annual membership through his website, you will continue to have access to the videos beyond the first year, as long as your membership remains active.
Throughout this course, participants will notice a significant improvement in their skills to identify and manage a wide range of injury and MSK conditions, which will either prepare them for specialisation in the field or, at the very least, lead to a high level of competence.
